The peloton of the international cycling race DHL Sereďmaratón welcomes a new, important player this year, one that will contribute to the event’s continued progress. Among the novelties of this year’s edition are also increased prize funds. This increase is partly thanks to the company UNICO Invest SK, which has become the main partner of the event. The collaboration brings an especially attractive innovation.
A new race classification
For the organizers, it’s a huge encouragement – the new partner didn’t bring only a logo, but an idea and content that enrich the event. The new points competition will bring more dynamics, viewer appeal, and a chance to showcase the riders’ tactical skills.
The competition will involve collecting points along the course – specifically mountain and sprint bonuses. While these are normally evaluated separately, the points collected at all of these segments will be added together into an overall classification. The male and female cyclists with the most points will stand on the podium, receive a special red jersey, a financial reward, and a trophy – but above all, the prestige of winning this brand-new classification.

At the center of their presentation during the cycling event will be the project IBV Dvorníky pod Ráblom.
