The organizers of the DHL Sereďmaratón 2025 cycling race are constantly working to raise the level of the event – not only in terms of benefits and prizes but also services provided.
This year brings another exciting update that will please all participants, regardless of age or performance level.
Decathlon Slovakia, a major name in the world of sports, joins the event as a Premium Partner.
Services on the route and at the venue
As part of the partnership, Decathlon will become the official service partner of the event. Participants can rely on professional technical support not only at the event village on Námestie slobody, but also at two key points on the course, where trained technicians will provide neutral race support.
"We were looking for a stable partner for bicycle service support. We've been in discussions with Decathlon's management since last year. Decathlon meets all key criteria – in terms of expertise, staff, and equipment. Additionally, they bring strong experience from similar events and are progressing rapidly on the professional scene with the Decathlon–AG2R La Mondiale team in the UCI WorldTeam category. I'm pleased that we were able to align our visions and believe this collaboration will be long-term and beneficial," says Lukáš Riha, Race Director.
Support for all riders and a cycling expo
The service support will be available not only for the main Sereďmaratón participants but also for children and parents taking part in the Sereďmaratónik kids' races.
Visitors will also have the chance to explore and test the latest road and gravel bike models from Decathlon at their on-site expo area.

On-course technical help
One of the most exciting updates is the neutral technical zone directly on the course. A fixed service point will be clearly marked on the event map and signposted on-site.
"Riders will pass this point twice. In case of any technical issues, they will be able to use professional help and continue the race without unnecessary stress," explains Šimon Gabalec, Traffic Coordinator.
The cooperation with Decathlon is another step in transforming Sereďmaratón into not just a race, but a true cycling festival that combines elite sport, family fun, eco-friendly values, and quality services for every participant.
